Education
At the Danthonia Community, our youngest children are cared for at our daycare, then are home-schooled through year 10. We offer our children rigorous academics and a broad education in art, music, sportsmanship, and skilled crafts of many kinds. Of central importance to our approach to teaching is inspiring children to a lifelong love for learning and service to others.

Academics, however, are only one facet of the well-rounded education we attempt to give each child at our Bruderhof communities. We reject the idea that a child's intellectual capabilities are the main indicator of his or her progress. Students are expected to do their best; yet we feel an obligation to let each child thrive, and - rather than molding him or her according to our expectations - to guide each one toward becoming the person God intended him or her to be.
After year 10, many students pursue further academic or vocational training at university or TAFE, while others master skills in specific trades through apprenticeships.
